As previously discussed here on MuscleModelBlog.com, outdoor photo shoots allow for a wide range of interesting backgrounds. Photographer James Franklin is from Los Angeles, California, one of the most unique cities in not only the United States but also the world. From beaches to mountains to national forests to concrete jungles, Southern California offers unique choices for photo shoot locations. In these shots of fitness model and NPC Men’s Physique Competitor Eric Turner, you can see how photographer James Franklin uses some of the backgrounds available in Southern California to make awesome shots:

And two from one of the channelized rivers that drain Southern California:
James Franklin took two shots of Eric Turner in a tunnel as well:
By looking at these photos, it is clear that Southern California’s unique shooting locations are perfect for fitness photography. The bright sunlight and quiet background of beaches make them great for fitness photos, especially since beaches are places were buff men go to show off their physiques. The channelized rivers of Southern California were great backdrops as well, the uniqueness of the setting making the photos taken there very interesting. The tunnels are great choices for fitness photography as well because they provide a plain, neutral-colored background against which physiques really stand out. Thus, there is no doubt that photographer James Franklin used the unique and varied photo shoot locations in Southern California to take great shots of fitness model and NPC Men’s Physique Competitor Eric Turner’s physique.
